The Cursed Island
When colonisation was at its peak and the Britishers were busy expanding their empire across the west, they started laying their eyes on a small 58 hectare Island near the Canadian coast.
“ This announcement is to all the men and women, old and young inhabitants on Oak Island. Surrender yourself and your land to Britain and its ruler. And you shall be protected.”
An arrow came tearing the pamphlet. War! That was the only solution. People of the Oak island gathered arrows, made weapons out of stone and wood, in unity they fought for their home. But little did they know about the fire-spitting machines and weapons that could kill hundreds in one blow.
After the glorious and effortless victory of Britain, all the remaining people of the land were exiled.“ This is our home, not yours. We shall live here, you shall not. You will all die”, the old men, women and children who could barely walk cursed the island.
They laughed. And started building colonies in Oak island. Colonel was resting in his armchair reading a book, in his newly built Bungalow, he started having a pain in his chest, he spitted blood and died. And all of them started dying one by one, under mysterious circumstances.
These events gave a shake even to the most powerful throne of Great Britain.
And no one dared to sail their ships to the Cursed Island.
After a long time, in 1750 three young men, who were in there high spirited teenage anchored there boat to the Oak Island’s coast. They were wandering in search of food, and one of them got his foot stuck in a hole. After letting him out, they looked around. The whole island is full of holes.
“What are these? No one was here for years, and how did the pits come in?”. They thought. Finally decided to dig the small hole, after a distance of 5 feet, they got a wooden oak panel. They got curious and started digging even deeper, after another 5 feet, they found another oak panel. After getting three or four oak panels, they started deciphering what was written on them.
“Forty Feet Below, Two Million Pounds Are Buried.”
But the three young boys were so tired, and they couldn’t dig any deeper.they sailed their boat and set off to reach the rest of the world and they proclaimed about the hidden treasures of Oak Island.
People came swarming to the island. They started digging the holes, but after finishing a 30 feet or so, water came into the holes from all the sides of the pit and flooded the hole, killing everyone who was inside it. They continued digging different holes, drowning all the men.
Foreseeing these events, many reached the Oak Island with huge machines to dig out the treasures. Even machines refused to go much further.
And no men who came in search of the treasure, left the island alive.
- Either they would drown in the pit.
- Or they would spend every second digging the pits, that they forget to drink water or eat food in the scourging sun.
Even if they manage to go out of the island, their mind would wander for the treasure for the rest of their life and can never live in harmony.
Like the inhabitants of the island cursed, they all died. But it’s not them who hid the treasures or dug up holes! Treasure belongs to the greatest pirate ever lived: Captain Kidd.
Captain Kidd after gathering all the treasures of the world, was in a dilemma where to protect them. And his ships were anchored to the cursed Oak island. Transforming it into his safe and highly secured locker, to which all the riches in the world is incomparable. Hidden deep underneath the bare soil is France’s last Queen Mary’s crown, her jewels, Manuscripts of William Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, the Holy Grail Jesus used in the last supper, The Arc of Covenant that was handed over to Moses and other historically precious relics.
“ There are only two people, in the whole wide world who can find my treasures. Me and the only king before whom I would kneel. Satan,” Captain Kidd mentioned about his treasure in his writings.
And recently in 2020, when Rick and Marty conducted a 15 million dollar worth excavation, they had to leave with barely anything at all, except a mysterious parchment paper and small traces of gold.
The whole tale of Oak Island sounds like a fanciful movie script. Should we still hope to find more treasures from the money pits?
But who would dig hundreds of pits, with such sophisticated design strategies, making up nearly thousands of oak panels just to fool people and make fun out of it?
Who knows?- Only Captain Kidd!
